Biological properties of the substances

L-methylfolate is a bioactive form of folic acid (Vitamin В9). This acid and its derivatives (folates) are required for haematopoiesis, deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) replication, amino acids synthesis and the metabolism of other vitamins. During pregnancy these components participate in forming placenta and womb blood vessels, which is why pregnant women have an increased need for folates.

Iodine is an important component for synthesis of thyroid hormones, which actively participate in the work of a central nervous system and in development of the organism as a whole.

Vitamin В12 is important for development of blood cells, metabolism of fat and carbohydrates, and also promotes protein cell growth. It participates in blood clotting and reduces the cholesterol level.
