Vitamin K2 (100 mcg) Calcium citrate complex Curcumin Premium
Biological properties of the substances
Vitamin K2 (Menaquinone) is included in the K vitamin group. Vitamin K2 has two forms: МK-4 and МK-7, which are very similar, though МK-7’s bioavailability is higher owing to the greater half-life, which enables a stable concentration to be maintained in the blood.
Vitamin K2 is mainly known as a substance that supports the health of the heart and bones. Menaquinone participates in calcium metabolism. Its lack in a diet leads to osteocalcin reduction, which, in turn, increases the brittleness of bones. During the postmenopause bone loss increases, which is why women should pay special attention to their health in this period and maintain the required vitamin level in the blood, namely vitamin K2.
Vitamin K2 supports the health of the heart and bones. This physiological property is connected with its ability to improve blood clotting. It prevents calcium deposit in blood vessels, thereby reducing the risk of negative cardiovascular effects. Besides, Vitamin K2 prevents accumulation of excess calcium in skin elastin, which leads to wrinkling.
Enhanced uptake due to the form of МK-7.
